What Ofsted said about our school following their most recent inspection

Westbourne Primary School is a good school.

  •   School leaders, including governors, focus effectively on accelerating pupils’ progress and raising the quality of teaching.
  •   They plan well, checking rigorously that targets are being met.
  •   All groups of pupils make good progress, especially in their literacy and numeracy skills.
  •   Standards by the time pupils leave in Year 6 are above those in most schools.
  •   The school provides a wide range of artistic, sporting, cultural and social opportunities that make a strong contribution to pupils’ personal development. 
  •   Pupils behave well. Their attendance is high. They have positive attitudes to learning, saying that they enjoy school enormously and feel safe there.
